The city of Würzburg was represented at the commemorative trip on the 10th anniversary of the German Riga Committee and at the commemoration ceremony on 9th July 2010 in Riga-Bikernieki by its own delegation led by the Lord Mayor.

The city of Würzburg was also represented at the 2nd joint commemoration and remembrance trip "Remembering deportation and extermination in Europe" of the delegations of the member cities of the German Riga Committee from 3rd to 6th July 2017 at the 75th anniversaries of the deportations to Riga.
